BETRAYAL

THE HUMAN GIRL HAS ONCE AGAIN BETRAYED US!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!!!!!

就係同班大爺沖涼!

A BLOODY BATH OUTDOORS?

Ah... but ohwell, we do feel better after this bath, now that we are all nice and dry. Ok, we'll let it slide this time.

Oh yeah

So the other week the Human Girl went over to Hong Kong to see this Cesar Millan guy. Dunno who he is. Never seen him either. I think the Human Girl read a book or two by this guy. Something about he's on TV too. No interest. But she got me a present!! And it's a new leash! Lookie!

有人話要自己拖繩出街喎!

I did try to convince the Human Girl that I'm grown up enough to walk myself, but she seems to be determined. AND I've already chewed the handle part of the leash. Yummy!

Menina isn't too well though.

瞓咗人地張床

Mr. Vet has taken her off Tramadol and after a few days she's back to her unbalanced, can't walk, constant pain self. The Human Girl will have to find the time to take her to visit the vet before the two-weeks-later appointment. That is going to be a very difficult case to crack!

Until we have more updates, toodles!

We are Healthy Dogs

We are all so healthy. We get a lot of exercise!

是日狀態欠佳!好快就話要返屋企!

Since Autumn is coming up, the air is getting cooler, we're really getting on our weekly suburb walks!

狗仔,我想玩Wii啊!

I am a Wii Fit Yoga Master. Listen to me!

Not really, but it's fun to pretend.

Why....?!!!!!????!?

Actually we just really like the yoga matt from the Human Girl.

Looks pretty content for "Help"

I also wanted to take the chance to say, it may look like I don't seem to be in danger in here (the air con was on!), that you should NEVER leave your pets or children inside a car unsupervised!

Dog Days of Autumn!

The Summer is slowly going away, you can feel it in the air! We know it not just because of this, but that the Humans have started to take us on our mountain trails again!

Best thing about Autumn: mountain trail walking can commence again! Nice breezy and fresh!

It is a little sad though, as it was a public holiday yesterday, and the trails were just a mess... the "public" barbecue areas were trashed, peppered in litter. Where's the consideration, humans?

In any case, we trudged on!

傻傻地嘅!

Woofy probably needs some more training - he's been left to slack off for some time, he got tired merely a quarter way through...

有狗扭計唔肯行

The Human Girl is starting to take more care in looking Menina up an down. Menina is going to turn 8 soon (that the Human Girl knows of) and she seems to have some problem breathing. But in this trip, Menina made her own merry way, despite slowly, without any complication!

The walk took a little over an hour and let me take this chance to remind everyone: remember to keep your pets hydrated! Have water on you at all times!

Please ensure your pets get enough water at all times!

That is all from this household!

It's been MONTHS

The HUMAN GIRL is unforgivable! It's been months since she posted any updates on us! She has been slacking way too much!!

I am officially MAD!!

個傻佬又嚟啦

There hasn't been that much of varying news about us though... here's a group-shot for you to refresh your memories of who we are:

Snack time!

Nothing much happened, really. We went out with on of the Human Girl's colleague and the lady liked us very much. Woofy continued to need the vet and taking baths with his special medication and it's been hard trying to maintain this weight.

What did happen that is out of the ordinary, is that Max got a dislocated joint, maybe his kneecap. Monday he was playing with Bido and gave a shriek, but after 10 minutes he was fine. The Human Girl though, noticed he seemed to be bothered by something, couldn't jump well and still whimpered once in a while. The Vet found out about the dislocated joint... and so the dog is on house arrest. Because on the very next day after seeing the vet, he again dislocated his joint and had to go to the vet again today!

So, you see, male dogs are really difficult to deal with. I'll just sit by here and soak up the sun for a bit!

For a change

I was feeling generous, so I decided to give the humans a treat.

I set their dinner table the other day!

"Dinner is served, Master!" Ah! This only happens in my dreams, for it's impossibly we have a Butler Dog. Coz WE HUMANS are the butlers!

However, they didn't seem to notice that I set the dinner table up for them. So I decided I shouldn't be worrying about these humanly things and just chill like I always do!

發癲的狗

The Human Girl changed her bedsheets. That means THAT IS PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO SOIL IT!

So we did.

What's going on!?

Of Car Rides and Cookies

The Human Girl has been working really hard! But she needs to manage her time better. We were out yesterday, all so happily without any worries, and... we couldn't go home right after our walk! The car ran out of gas and we had to drive over to the pump to get a refill!

Untitled

But, it was a fun trip. I got to bark around at various random people. Hey, they were all around the car and pointing and laughing at me!

Oh, and today the Human Girl did something right, and all of us are really pleased about it.

Preparation before class, translate the info sheet first XD

Apparently, the Human Girl went to some baking workshop class and baked us cookies! That was yummy!

The Human Girl shares the translated recipe, which is from the Cebolinha Workshop 若野夢工房 (please note: this is in MACAU):

Doggie Veggie Cookies
Organic Whole Wheat Flour 220gr
Egg (whole) 1pc
Carrot (diced) 1pc
Apple (diced) 1 pc
Water as required

1. Make a depression in the flour, and mix the egg in by hand. Add water as needed, but keep in mind that eventually you will have to add in the apple and carrot dice and those give out liquid as you knead as well.

2. Cut in shapes or knead into shapes - anything works, just keep it under 1cm thick for easy baking.

3. Bake in a pre-heat oven at 180C for 25-35 minutes. Best result is if it is crispy on the outside and soft in the inside

※ (Human Girl comments) Forget about "decorating" the cookies with any remaining apples or carrots as it shrinks or burns easily. Personally I think it is better if you try to knead these into the cookie instead of just putting it on the surface.

As you can see, we are all pretty happy with the result!

似乎老闆一、二、三、四號都覺得好食!哈哈!

The Human Girl should go on more such classes and cook things for us. Woof Woof Woof!

Driving 101

Woofy decided to take driving lessons today. We got nowhere.

Untitled

So we had to push him away and have the humans drive the car.

The humans made some chinese soup that had these huge pork bones inside... and gave us!

It was totally yummy!

Another bed-sharing moment

Although Bido and Woofy look rather worried. I wonder what's up?

I guess Bido thinks he is going to have to suffer a bath while Woofy is just being Woofy when food is not involved...

Some old videos

Life has been pretty standard recently. So we decided to post some old videos of us!

If memory serves well, this was some time between Peppie leaving us, and Bido coming to us... so there's only three of us in here...

Here we have Sai-Lup chasing after a ball. Maybe this has to be done more frequently!

And here we have Sai-Lup and Pequenai singing a duet in the car!

Meanwhile, Bido is sulking because so far there are no videos of him!

Zzzzzzz.....

So I'll just go ahead and secure myself the best spot in the bed!

Just browsing around

The human girl was just browsing around her Flickr account and came across this beautiful photo of the four of us!!

Say cheeeeese! #smilingdog

Bido seems to be taking the lead here, but hey! We were all tired and happy with the long long long long long walk we had up in the mountains!

Woofy

We have Woofy here today!

肥仔要去睇大夫

Basic information:

Name: Woofy
Nicknames: Pequenai, Pequi, 5-Litre, 豬精, 肥仔, Fat-boy
Commonly known as: Pequi (read as "Piggy")
Breed: suspected Minituare Pinscher, currently possibly a Mutant
Birthday: Unknown, rescued on 28 April 2010 (maybe)

Story:

I was just running around sniffing at things when I saw across the street, there was a dog. So I ran towards that dog, narrowly escaping being hit by a car, and went to sniff at that dog!

That dog wasn't too friendly though, and the person with the dog kept saying things like "be careful!" "Don't just run across the street!" and this person even tried to get a hold of me! So I ran away and ran down the slope.

Eventually I met up with some kids and they didn't look too friendly as well, so the only way was to run back. As I ran up the hill, that unfriendly dog was there again. But this time, the person with the dog just picked me up!

I guess there was a lot of commotion. I got into a car, was driven to a vet, and then was driven to shop, and people looked at me and seemed to talk about me. Eventually I went into an apartment that had 3 dogs. I had to start showing them who's the boss so I started to mark my territory. Only, I was yelled at by the humans!

Some time later, a woman and a young girl came by. The girl said she liked me and then I got tied up to a leash and we left.

After a few hours (not without some shouting and a lot of crying on the girl's part), I was taken back to that apartment with 3 dogs...

They were Peppie, Menina, and Sai Lup. And just like that I was part of that household.

==================

Thoughts from Kat, the "human girl" There isn't really much to tell about Pequi's arrival to the household. My Mom and I were just at our building's door, taking Sai-Lup out (it was just 2 weeks after we got Sai-Lup) and I saw this small, slightly overweight, Chihuahua-or-Mini-Pinscher dog running across the street to us, almost runover by a car, and giving Sai Lup a sniff, then running away. We tried to catch him the first time, but failed.

We were thinking that "oh, maybe he knows where he's going", and decided to let it rest, despite our feeling uneasy over this dog on the loose. Eventually, he came running right back up, so I just scooped him up (he was small enough).

Immediately, we took him to a vet to scan for his chip. They found one, but the numbering format showed that it is NOT a Macau chip. Then we called the Municipal Kennel, and they refused to divulge any information regarding the owner. So I simply asked: is there a record for this chip? and they answered a no. Will a dog get his existing chip added into the database if the dog is imported according to normal procedures? No, the dog will get a new chip implemented.

Then, we took the dog to the pet shop that my Sister works at, just to see if they recognize the dog (could have been one of their customers' dog) but nobody knew that dog there.

It was soon running late, so we just took the dog home. Meanwhile, my Mom spoke with our neighbour who found someone that wanted to get a dog. So the lady came with her daughter and they looked at that dog. The girl liked him enough (no really, the girl had her eye on Menina really, but no way!) so they took him away. Our neighbour even gave them a brand new dog-bed.

Thinking the matter resolved, we were happy to have saved a dog.

A few hours later, the mother came ringing our bell again, saying the dad in the family disagreed to keeping the dog, so they gave the dog back, dog bed and all.

Feeling lost, I made a couple of posters and flyers and posted that everywhere and on Facebook. No nibbles.

And then, my Sis said, "you allhave your own favourite dog. I'd like to have a say about keeping a dog too".

Well, and that is how we got that dog. He was a bit naughty on the peeing indoors part, so we neutered him. After that, he just blew up and turned into a mutant fat dog. We're working to keep his weight as is, if not losing it (he is a voracious eater and steals from the big dogs too)...

And that's how this one came to us :-)

都話冇手信, 唔駛睇咁多啦! 帶佢去睇獸醫, 個個都話佢肥! Driver that can't reach the steering wheel...

A traumatic day

Today was a really traumatic day for the four of us!

It was license renewal and rabies shot day!

After lunch, we saw the human girl bringing out all our leads and leashes. Woofy was so happy that he danced around! When we were all set, the human mom and the human dad took us all out!

We thought it was to a picnic of sorts, but, we ended up in a park, where we had to queue in line.

Apparently, it was license renewal day.

The Macau Municipal Kennel does have an online renewal service, however this year we had to take our rabies shot (valid for 3 years), and so we had to go to the kennel, or the mobile stations they set up in January and February.

We went into the line and Sai-Lup was being almost like a saint (as near a saint as he could, knowing him). It was easy to renew the license from Menina, Sai-Lup and Bido. However, Woofy is an illegal immigrant and so the human girl had to go to another place, fill in a form and submit it again.

After paying for the renewal, we queued in another line for the actual rabies shot. Sai-Lup didn't care for the shots, and Menina was really calm about it too! It was only Bido that made a big fuss out of it. If the human girl did not put a muzzle on Bido, her right ear would probably be history by now. Bido had to be carried (just like Scooby-Doo) by the human girl when the Vet administered the shot.

The human dad took the three of us back to the car, while the human mom and the human girl continued to wait for Woofy's application. Finally it went through and it was Woofy's turn to take the rabies shot. It was particularly painful for him as he continued to cry even when he was in the car, on the way home. Perhaps it's all just fuss!

Anyway, back at home, everyone got some extra treats. The human girl had her hands full of us so there was no chance for her to shoot any photos, so you'll have to take our word for what happened there today!
